PALS SkillsThe online, hybrid HeartCode PALS course is developed by the American Heart Association and yields a AHA PALS card once all steps are completed. This web-based, self-directed program teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children. Developed by the American Heart Association, this online course is designed to train learners in the importance of emergent cardiac care in the context of team dynamics and systems of care for children and infants. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each online simulation to facilitate learning.

Most first time learners of the HeartCode system report it takes between 5-10 hours to complete the web based content (based upon the learner’s PALS experience).
