Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Summit

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Summit

This three-day summit will help participants explore the ILCOR recommendations for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Practitioners at all levels will receive the most up-to-date and relevant information to aid them in their practice and teaching of resuscitation.

The summit will provide participants with knowledge and insight on basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS), along with age-based competency validation of skills. In contrast, the major focus will be upon treatment guidelines. Our summit will also address the effectiveness of educational and training approaches and topics related to the organization and implementation of emergency cardiac care.

Day One

  • Exciting topics and hands-on skill stations include:
  • ACLS for Dummies – Algorithms Made Simple
  • Defibrillation Strategies for Ventricular Fibrillation or Pulseless Ventricular Tachycardia
  • Airway, Oxygenation, and Ventilation During CPR
  • Circulatory Support During CPR - ECPR versus manual or mechanical CPR

Day Two

  • Physiological Monitoring During CPR – Numbers Don’t Lie
  • Drugs During CPR – Right Time & Right Dose
  • Intra-arrest Prognostication – Where Heroic Measures Stop
  • Every Breath You Take – ETCO2 Directed Care
  • Cardiac Arrest in Special Circumstances

Day Three Topis

Day 3 will comprise an AHA ACLS Experienced Provider (EP) course. ACLS EP builds on skills and knowledge gained through previous ACLS Provider and Renewal Courses by including real-world cases. ACLS EP is an advanced course designed for healthcare providers who are regularly called on to manage complex cardiovascular, respiratory, and other emergencies; the course emphasizes critical thinking and decision-making. Learners will actively work through scenarios and, with the option of more than 60 case studies, will apply their ACLS knowledge to relevant and challenging topics.

COVID Responsible Course

Due to the dynamic nature of the course, in-person attendance is required for all three days. Social distancing and mask rules apply, and seating will be limited to maintain social distancing.
