The healthcare courses are designed around healthcare professionals who primarily work in fully integrated healthcare settings and need a course completion card to remain employed or maintain their professional license. 

Basic Life Support

BLS

This curriculum teaches basic life support skills for application in both healthcare settings and prehospital settings, with an emphasis on high-quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction, and high-performing team dynamics. The BLS Provider curriculum teaches rescue techniques for adults, children, and infants.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

ACLS

This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition, and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

Pediatric Advanced Life Support

PALS

This advanced pediatric course helps students learn how to use a systematic approach to quickly assess, identify the underlying cause, and treat pediatric patients in emergency situations. Students interact with real pediatric patient cases, realistic simulations, and animations.

Community and Workforce Audience

Do you have little to no medical training? Do you need a CPR or first aid certification for employment or civic reasons? The Heartsaver option is designed for anyone with little or no medical training, to meet regulatory needs (e.g., OSHA), and many other employment requirements for emergency care. Heartsaver content is also a great option for anyone who wants to be ready to help in any emergency.

CPR AED

AHA’s Heartsaver CPR AED course provides the knowledge and skills that may help save a life. This course covers how to recognize the need for CPR, call for help, and perform lifesaving CPR and AED skills. Adult CPR is taught in every Heartsaver class while child and infant CPR can be added upon request.

First Aid

The Heartsaver First Aid course prepares participants in first aid for the most typical first aid emergencies. Topics include first aid basics, management of medical emergencies, heat/cold emergencies, and much more.

First Aid CPR AED

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course also includes the topics of first aid, management of medical emergencies, heat/cold emergencies, and much more. Adult CPR is taught in every Heartsaver first aid CPR AED course, while child and infant CPR can be added upon request.
