Why not offer CME for BLS, ACLS, and PALS classes?

The mission of the CPR Training Company is to provide open-to-the-public American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification classes. In a broad sense, the CPR Training Company supports a wide variety of disciplines, and it is not feasible to become an accredited CME/CE provider for all the healthcare disciplines which attend our classes.

Ongoing CME program maintenance is extraordinarily complex and costly. From experience, CPR Training Company leadership concluded offering CMEs is not an affordable or sustainable option for the limited scope of content we develop and provide. In researching the feasibility of CME, we found the majority of established CME programs do not offer CME for AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Therefore, the AHA’s HeartCode courses are an option for CME, and we encourage those seeking CEMs for BLS, ACLS, or PALS to complete a HeartCode course. Of course, the CPR Training Company will continually evaluate our CME status so we can advance our mission to provide open-to-the-public American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification classes. We welcome the option to partner with any healthcare facility under their CME program.
